Here’s some big news for all the DC fans. James Gunn, the chairman and CEO of DC Studios is all set to take forward the Superman legacy as he dons the director’s cap. The news got the fans excited, as it came along with the release date. James Gunn made this announcement with an Instagram post where he also expressed his excitement about making the film. The film is slated to release on 11th July, 2025, which incidentally also happens to be James’ late father’s birthday.
He also penned down a heartfelt note on how he got to writing the film but was still very much unsure about directing it. But, the long and the short of it is, he is happy with the script and is looking forward to making the film. The director also got emotional about the release date coinciding with his late father’s birthday. Early in the year, the news of Henry Cavill stepping down from his announced role of Superman came as a shock to many. Who will take forward this legacy and the role of Superman, we are yet to find out. They surely are some big shoes to fill.
