Here’s some great news for all the fans of the Don franchise, but not so good news for all the Shah Rukh Khan fans. Farhan Akhtar, the director of all the films of the Don franchise, has announced a reboot of this iconic film. Don 1 and 2 were super hit blockbusters, starring Shah Rukh Khan, however, as per reports, it is said that Shah Rukh has exited the project and would not be the lead in the third editing of the film. The film however is confirmed to be in works, but the team is on the hunt for another A List actor.

It would be interesting to know who would replace THE Shah Rukh Khan, in one of his most iconic roles. And even if one does replace him, would they be able to keep up with the legacy that the actor has left behind. Shah Rukh played the role of Don in 2006 alongside Priyanka Chopra and then again in Don 2 in 2011. As per sources, the main reason that Shahrukh has decided to not be a part of this project is that he wants to solely focus on commercial films. Alongside this, Farhan Akhtar is also working on his slice of life film Jee Le Zara starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.

It would be interesting to see who steps into the shoes of Shah Rukh and what Farhan has to bring to the table with the third rendition of this iconic film.
