Moviegoers have been thoroughly enjoying watching re-releases in cinemas lately. From Jab We Met to now Gadar, these films are now selling house full cinemas. The makers of Gadar also decided to take the audience back to the golden years of romance on the big screen and re-release the first part of the film before the release of its second part. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are all set to be back on the big screen to bring this story back to life.
Over the first weekend of its re-release, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has raked in 1.30 Crores at the box office. The film garnered 30 Lakhs on Day 1, 45 Lakhs on Day 2 and 55 Lakhs on Day 3. The re-release also included some never-seen-before scenes which got the audience even more excited. The numbers look pretty good for a re-release and it is truly setting the tone for the release of its second part. The makers of the film dropped a teaser for Gadar 2: The Katha Continues today itself, and this time around, Tara Singh is the one looking out for his country and his family. The film is directed by Anil Sharma and I am all set to see whether the second rendition of the film does as well as the first one, when it releases on 11th August.
