Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 has been in the news lately for all sorts of mixed reasons. The cast also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. The film saw its highest jump on the 13th of August as it was a Sunday, and raked in 17.55 Crores. Its second-highest jump was observed on the occasion of Independence Day, where it managed to earn 17.10 Crores. After that, on the weekend BO collection was 43.11 Cr. The film also saw a strong footfall until Sunday evening across India, with an 86% occupancy. The film has also crossed 60 crores in worldwide gross and is inching towards the 100-crore mark. The two factors that may have slowed down its pace could be the film receiving an adult-only certificate and its clash with Sunny Deol’s Gadar and other big films currently running at the box office.
