Shahid Kapoor and Anees Bazmee’s comedy film featuring a double role, produced by Dil Raju and Ekta Kapoor, were in motion and this would mark the first collaboration between the actor and Anees. Pre-production work had commenced, and the team was gearing up to commence filming by August. However, unexpectedly, Shahid Kapoor has reportedly quit the comedy film and now we know the real reason behind this.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the film project that was set to feature both Shahid Kapoor and Anees Bazmee was unexpectedly postponed because of a significant disagreement between them regarding the film’s direction. Shahid Kapoor was keen on introducing action sequences into the storyline, while Anees Bazmee remained steadfast in his commitment to producing a pure comedy film in line with his established style. The contrasting creative visions of the two led to an impasse, prompting them to mutually decide to shelve the project temporarily, leaving its future uncertain. Anees Bazmee engaged in a candid conversation with Shahid Kapoor, resulting in a mutual decision to part ways on the project. Apart from this Shahid Kapoor joins Vishu Bhagnani for a mythological film.
