Shah Rukh Khan and Tapsee Pannu starrer ‘Dunki’ released in theaters on December 21, 2023. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film opened up with a good start at the Indian box office. As per Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 30 crores on its first day. As per trade experts, the collection of the film is likely to increase over the weekend.
A JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation, produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, ‘Dunki‘ released on a non-holiday Thursday just a day before Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’. Shah Rukh Khan’s other two films that were released this year, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, minted Rs 57 crore and about Rs 89.5 crore on their first day, respectively.

The stellar cast of ‘Dunki’ includes Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu. Witten by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, ‘Dunki’ is a comedy-drama film based on an illegal immigration technique named ‘donkey flight’.
