Directed by Kannan Iyer, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ is based on the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, Emraan Hashmi will be seen embracing the role of socialist political leader Ram Manohar Lohia in the film. Ram Manohar Lohia was a mentor to Usha Mehta. The leader played a significant role in forming Congress Radio, which served as a vital communication tool during 1942’s Quit India movement.
Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming biographical drama ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ also stars Sparsh Srivastava, Anand Tiwari, Benedict Garrett, Alexx O’Nell, and Abhay Verma. ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on March 21, 2024.
