A few days ago, director Aditya Dhar spoke about his much anticipated film ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ starring Vicky Kaushal being shelved, and now the makers have announced the project with a new director and actor headlining it at the Prime Video slate announcement event. The action film ‘Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues’, backed by Bhagnani Films, will now star Shahid Kapoor and will be directed by Sachin Ravi.
“Myth and reality will blur, as past and present collide, when an ancient legend meets this modern marvel! This is the story of #AshwatthamaTheSagaContinues, the immortal warrior a Magnum Opus you can not miss,” Shahid Kapoor wrote in the caption of his Instagram post sharing the news of his upcoming mythological superhero film backed by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshika Deshmukh under their production banner Pooja Entertainment.
While I was excited about Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar working on this dynamic project, I’m also looking forward to seeing what magic the talent powerhouse Shahid Kapoor creates with his superb screen presence in this much-awaited pan-Indian film. ‘Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues’ is slated to release in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu.
