Kareena Kapoor’s Dig at Katrina Kaif in Heroine!

Uh oh, my spy on the sets of Heroine tells me there’s a scene in the movie where Kareena Kapoor takes a direct dig at Katrina Kaif! The two obviously have been rivals for ages and never really warmed up to each other in public (or private!) My spy says the scene was written to expose the fact that Katrina is not an Indian citizen and how she’s forged her passport to be allowed to work in this country for so long. Oh me-ow! Kat’s passport has come up in real life before with Deepika Padukone on Koffee with Karan btw…

I’m told, “there is an interaction of Kareena with a journalist, where she tells him that another top actress has been working in the industry only because of the goodwill of her superstar boyfriend (aka Salman Khan). She then goes on to add that the scribe should ask her for a copy of her passport, that not only has her real name and age, but also her country of origin!”
It seems Bebo was intially hesitant to do the scene, but after director Madhur Bhandarkar informed her of this growing trend of foreign actresses working in India, she agreed to do it. Even the actress who plays “Katrina” in the film has a striking resemblance to Kat.

As for forging..nobody can do such a thing and stay in country for longtime. Katrina working in India is totally Genuine. And coming to age Katrina looks much younger than Kareena aunty.

Katrina has previously mentioned in an interview that her passport is British and her name on it is Katrina Turquotte, and that she uses her mother’s name because her father left them at an early age and has had no influence on her upbringing whatsoever. She also stated that she wasn’t comfortable divulging any more about her past. I’ve heard crazy rumours about her past – including her profession, her lineage and what not, but I guess that’s her concern and nobody else’s. She’s here because she’s worked hard for it, maintained friendships with the right people, and made the right work choices. I do think she has this mysterious aura about her because she’s just so fiercely private and I’m SO intrigued by her, but she seems like a sweet, polite, punctual and hardworking girl who chooses to focus on her work. I think Kareena needs to shut her trap, she comes across as supremely arrogant and annoying with the whole ‘I’m no.1, i’m the top paid, This film has always been mine’ nonsense. Over the top acting and a im-so-full-of-myself demeanor.

I so agree with you Shefali. Katrina came this far with talent and help of just one friend, but kareena took the help of her “whole” BIG FAT kapoor family. Maybe she is a good actor, If not for the Kapoor family she wouldn’t have even existed.

I’d also like to point out that it it is possible that she is staying here validly without Salman’s help – there are special visas for artists, and other resident status classifications (e.g., PIO, OCI etc)if you meet the requirements. So unless anybody in Bollywood also doubles as an immigration officer,
@ Mounika – As much as I dislike Kareena’s attitude, if she’s had work done, it’s not obvious. Cannot say the same about Katrina, and so who knows how much older she would look without the excess of fillers etc (although, my guess is, she would look better)

@ak- I have no clue what your talking about, why does katrina need fillers? She is a natural beauty, she is not even trying to starve herself to get to zero size. She is healthy natural beauty. Unlike Kareena, who has never been the same size from the past 10 years. If somebody needs fillers it would be kareena aunty.

@ Mounika – the plastic surgery is pretty evident on Katrina’s face. I actually had to stop watching Chikni Chameli halfway because it was so obvious. Same thing with that new song. Katrina may have the “better” body, but for a woman who already has difficulty acting, you would think she wouldn’t try to limit her range of facial expressions.

Anyone who doesn’t see the work Katrina had done on her face is obviously blind or going blind! The girl was pretty before with an innocence, now she just looks like a bimbo..But she did work hard and had luck on her side. I doubt Kareena doesn’t get along with Katrina, maybe she doesn’t privately like her but she never publicly stated that. Didn’t Katrina call Kareena when Salman allegedly beat her up with a stick?
