Imran Khan made an impactful debut in Bollywood with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and became everyone’s favourite boy-next-door in films like Break Ke Baad and I Hate Luv Stories. Though he may not have had a very successful line up of films, he certainly was charming and so easy to love on screen. It broke many a girls’ hearts when he got married in 2011 to his girlfriend of eight years, Avantika Malik. The two make for a really sweet couple and have a 5-year-old daughter, Imaara Malik Khan.
News is that after 8 years of marriage, the couple is rumoured to be heading for a separation, and taking some time out from their marriage due to irreconcilable differences. According to an article in the DNA, an insider source has revealed that Avantika allegedly moved out of Imran’s residence – 24, Pali Hill – a while ago with their daughter Imaara. The source also added that she is apparently staying with her family at the moment.
This is quite sad news, and we just have to wait and watch how this pans out. We hope this is a temporary set back and that the family resolves their issues soon.
On the work front, Imran is currently working on a short film that he has written and is directing. It is called Mission Mars: Keep Walking India, which is produced by Dharma 2.0 and will release digitally in September this year.
