Till a couple of days before her wedding, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was busy with the shoot of The Sky Is Pink. She wrapped her upcoming film four days prior to her wedding festivities. And her husband, Nick Jonas joined them in the celebrations on the last day on the film’s set. Nick had arrived a little early and got to see PeeCee shoot the final scene. It was an intense scene and see her get emotional he cried too. You can read more about it here.
That’s the kind of experience Priyanka was looking forward to as an actor. In an interaction with IMBD, she shared that she was looking for an immersive experience as an actor. And when The Sky Is Pink came her way, it checked so many boxes that she had to do it.
She shared:
To do a film like this, you need time to prep and time to get to it. So I couldn’t do a movie and especially a Hindi movie. I was really looking for an immersive experience as an actor, in any kind of movie, whether it was in America or India. And when this (The Sky Is Pink) came along, it struck on so many levels for me, and it checked so many boxes that I just knew it had to be done.

The world premiere of The Sky Is Pink was held on Friday at the Toronto International Film Festival. Piggy Chops also shared a photo with co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Rohan Saraf, and director Shonali Bose, before they headed for the screening.

The Sky Is Pink is also the first Hindi film which has been produced by Priyanka. Also starring Zaira Wasim, the film will be releasing on 11th October 2019 in India.
