Rishi Kapoor finally returned back to India from New York a few months ago after extensive treatment to treat his cancer. In these few months, he has been recovering and spending time with his family. But post his stay in the capital city, Delhi, where his daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni lives, his health took a beating as he was admitted in the hospital.
While many thought it was cancer that relapsed, but Rishi Ji, speaking with Mumbai Mirror, confirmed that it was just an infection and fever, which he was being treated for. He adds that maybe it was the pollution that got to him. Well, with him being in quite a vulnerable state and the pollution levels in Delhi reaching abysmal levels, it is quite possible. Son Ranbir Kapoor and his girlfriend Alia Bhatt immediately left to Delhi to be by his side, and are even back home today.
People started speculating about Rishi Ji‘s health due to his family’s absence from nephew Armaan Jain‘s pre-wedding festivities over the weekend. But looks like he is recovering now, given he was seen being active on his Twitter, again.
On the work front, Rishi Ji is all set to star opposite Deepika Padukone in the Indian adaptation of The Intern, which originally starred Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
