Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma utilised his lockdown period to make a full-fledged feature film on the hot topic — COVID-19. Titled ‘Coronavirus’ , he recently launched the trailer of this Telugu drama, which he clearly stated was shot entirely during the lockdown.

The director of movies like Sarkar, Rangeela, and Satya took to his Twitter to release his 4-minute long trailer. The film’s narrative is around a family living amid the lockdown. Things turn dark when one of the household members start showing the symptoms of the flu. The Telugu film stars Srikanth Iyengar.

The filmmaker, who is also quite famous for his controversial tweets, also tweeted —

The director also claimed (through his tweet) that it will be one of the first made films on Coronavirus.

The netizens on Twitter lauded Varma’s new project, including Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan who has worked with him in multiple movies namely the ‘Sarkar’ franchise and ‘Nishabd’. Sr.Bachchan describes Ram Gopal Varma as ‘irrepressible’ and shared the trailer on Twitter.

I am quite intrigued as to what the movie has in store for its audience. The release date of the movie has not been announced yet.
