Lockdown birthdays have become events with such new experiences for us all. From surprise Zoom calls to homemade cakes, it’s all about the little gestures to make our loved ones smile on their special day. Alia Bhatt also made sure to spread some cheer at home as she celebrated her house help, Rashida Shaikh‘s birthday recently.
Rashida took to her personal Instagram account to share videos of the Bhatt family — Alia, Shaheen Bhatt, Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt — singing her a happy birthday and cutting a cake with her. Their other house helps are also seen clapping along. Rashida captioned the videos, “My dream birthday” and “I am so lucky“. After cutting the cake with Rashida, Alia announces that she sadly cannot eat it. She says, “Mein cake nahi kha sakti, abhi shuru hua hai diet (I can’t have the cake, my diet has just begun).” Well, when it comes to discipline, no one to beat Alia!

For the past few weeks now, Alia and her sister have also been chilling in Ranbir Kapoor‘s house where they spend time with his dogs — Lionel and Nido. Their mother, Soni, also joined them for a get-together with Ranbir, his mom Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. We love that these two families are bonding so well and have been each other’s support during these tough times.

On the work front, Alia has a great line-up of films including Brahmastra, Rajamouli‘s RRR, Sadak 2 and Gangubai Kathiawadi, and I sure cannot wait for these films to hit the screens!
