Our very own Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the global star, has joined the cast of Matrix 4. The film features Keanu Reeves in the lead role. And according to a report in Variety, PCJ is currently shooting for the film which was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The publication also stated that the cast of Matrix 4 trained for weeks for the fight scenes. The film also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris in pivotal roles.
Along with this, Priyanka has a number of projects in her kitty. Recently, the global star signed two-year multimillion-dollar first-look television deal’ with Amazon.
The actress will also be seen portraying the role of Ma Anand Sheela, the assistant to guru Bhagwan Rajneesh famously known as Osho. The Netflix docu-series has been titled, ‘Sheela‘.
Apart from these, PC also has Ramin Bahrani‘s ‘The White Tiger’. She will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao. The movie is an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s novel of the same name.
Coming back to the movie, The Matrix, the original film of the franchise hit the screens in 1999. It is a science fiction action film, featuring Keanu Reeves. Matrix was heavily inspired by martial arts films. This was proceeded by two more parts of the movie that were released in the year 2003. All three movies of the franchise received a lot of praise and critical acclaim.
I am super excited about this and definitely cannot wait for our ‘desi girl’ to create magic once again in this franchise.
