The day is finally here! Bigg Boss 16 premieres tonight. While I am excited for all the drama to unfold, this season seems to be turning out like one mad circus literally. Bigg Boss is playing, the bedroom is divided into four and a lot more is different on the Colors TV reality show this year. But what hasn’t changed is the house and it being stunning like always. This year when I entered the house, I was taken back to my childhood memories of being in the colourful surroundings of a ‘Circus’. Yes, that’s the theme this season, it’s cosy, colourful, and quite positive. Designed by Omung and Vanita Kumar, this year we will see lots of pop of colours, and dramatic elements throughout the house.

Well, it absolutely looks like a painting, be it the carousel-shaped dining area, or the differently themed bedrooms. Another thing I like about the house this season is how the house is spacious, everything is very compact. Some major attractions are the Jacuzzi in the captain’s room, the deck chair in the garden, and the mezzanine section. Another addition to the house this time is the amazing MyGlamm zone, as you know, MyGlamm is the exclusive makeup partner this season and I am sure that will only add lots of glamour to the season.
Talking about designing the house, Art Director Omung Kumar B. and Production Designer Vanita Omung Kumar jointly said,
This season, the BIGG BOSS house manifests into a circus for the first time. Growing up, many of us have seen how the circus captures the perfection and magic of human power and abilities. The theme is special for us because it symbolises overcoming barriers and hardships while entertaining the crowd. We love the world of ‘La La Land’ and it reflects in the way we’ve designed our own space. We were happy to draw parallels from our favourite wonderland for the BIGG BOSS house. Mirroring the flamboyant aesthetics that we treasure, the house has a few pieces of art and paintings hand painted by me (Omung Kumar B.). We’ve tried to bring out the world of fantasy, fun, sparkle, and magic with the interior of the house to revive the era of the vintage circus. We wish the contestants luck as they walk over tightropes, hang in balance, and put on a great show at the behest of the ultimate ringmaster BIGG BOSS.
