With only a few hours left for 2022 to bid us farewell, I can only see how great this year has been. Especially for Bollywood, it has been quite the year, but some of them for sure had landmark moments that left all of us talking. Whether it was Shah Rukh Khan announcing his films after a long sabbatical or Deepika Padukone sharing the news of Lady Singham or even Priyanka Chopra Jonas bringing her haircare brand to India. Some celebrities have surely had a great year, and I can only recall how wonderful it has been for me to witness all of this.
Here are 5 celebrities who were in the headlines throughout 2022:
1. Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor
Alia and Ranbir by far had the greatest year. Professionally and personally, there were so many reasons to celebrate, in fact, throughout the year this couple has been in the news, either together or individually. And it has been all good news, whether the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi or the Ranbir-Alia Wedding, they were literally the talk of the town. What was even greater was to see them become parents to a lovely girl this year, and who can forget Brahmastra and the massive success it saw at the box office? All in all, Ranbir and Alia ruled the film industry this year and I loved seeing them becoming a stronger force together.
2. Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Our desi girl, PeeCee also had a busy year and throughout she made waves globally not just on social media, but even otherwise. The highlights for Priyanka Chopra Jonas in 2022 would surely be welcoming her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas at the beginning of the year and towards the end bringing her celebrated haircare brand Anomaly to India. While all these surely made for news in 2022, the projects that PeeCee shot for also had her fans talking.
3. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
Even for Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone this year was HUGE! Yes, from having their beautiful home ready in Alibaug, to doing some amazing films, DeepVeer kept making headlines. But for me, the most gorgeous and memorable moment was when they walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra looking like a vision. And the biggest news of all was when Deepika was recently announced as Lady Singham. Yes, she is joining Rohit Shetty‘s cop universe and like always husband Ranveer is rooting the loudest for her. Sweet!
4. Shah Rukh Khan
This year was very much delightful for SRK fans because, in 2022, Shah Rukh Khan not only announced that he is returning with three big films but also treated us with a cameo in Brahamstra Part One. Yes, SRK made news throughout, and in 2023 too will be ruling B-town with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki releasing.
5. Ram Charan
Not only did Ram Charan start 2022 with a bang with RRR, but he had a great year taking the film around the world. While RRR’s success kept Ram in the news throughout the year, he even recently announced that he will be becoming a father soon. To top that all, Naatu Naatu from his film getting nominated for Oscars was the silver lining in 2022 for him.
While they all are ending 2022 with lot many reasons to celebrate, I am cheering for them to have an even better 2023.
