2023 seems to have kickstarted on quite a buzzing note. Yes, the biggest news in the first week of the new year has been about Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani‘s wedding. While in 2022, we saw the couple subtly talk about their relationship on Koffee With Karan Season 7, and ever since I came across reports of them getting married the next month, my happy dance seems to have begun. As per a report in the Times Of India, Sidharth and Kiara will be taking the plunge in the first week of February at a palace hotel in Jaisalmer. It is also said the wedding will happen on the 4th, 5th, and 6th of February.
Raising my anticipation further, more details about this rumored wedding have surfaced. As per a report in India Today, Sid and Kiara will have a grand Punjabi wedding with elaborate ceremonies taking place over two days. The couple will also host a grand reception in Mumbai after that. Going by the reports, the haldi and sangeet ceremonies will take place on the same day and the pheras will happen on the next day. Wedding shopping seems to have begun in full spree. In fact, the report also further added that during the New Year vacation in Dubai (where Sidharth, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and Rani Mukerji were also present) Kiara was seen discussing a sangeet playlist with her friends.
Of course, Raatan Lambiyaan from Shershaah is on Sid-Kiara’s sangeet playlist. I am already gearing up for all the frenzy that is coming our way, so far, the guest list for this rumored wedding includes close family and friends. From the industry, some confirmed guests are Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and producer Ashvini Yardi. The venue of the wedding is said to have been finalized, the couple will tie the knot at Jaisalmer Palace Hotel, where security personnel and bodyguards will be sent from 3rd February ahead of the wedding festivities.

While we wait for Sidharth and Kiara to make official announcements soon, the couple recently returned back to the bay from Dubai. On the work front, Sidharth has Mission Majnu and Yodha coming up, while Kiara will be seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha and RC15. But in all honesty, for me the biggest celebration is their tying the knot soon.
