Back in 2022 when I saw RRR on the big screen, I had not imagined that the film will create history. But it is making the country proud. Yes, SS Rajamouli directed RRR which starred Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles along with Alia Bhatt and it has given the country a musical marvel with Naatu Naatu. Just two weeks back, Naatu Naatu became the first Asian song to win the Golden Globe Award in so many years. And just a few minutes back it witnessed another feat. As per the official announcement from The Academy, Naatu Naatu has been nominated for the 95th Oscars in the Original Song category.

Along with Naatu Naatu, other songs that have been nominated are Applause from the film Tell It Like A Woman, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and This Is A Life from the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once. Well, I feel proud to see Naatu Naatu on that list there and I am clearly rooting for it to get the Oscars home.
