Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 has received a lot of love lately from the audience with its plot and performances in the film. The cast also includes names like Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. The makers of the film had to deal with a lot of complications with the censor board, but all’s good now looking at its box office collection. There were a lot of reports that claimed that the film was a flop since it only recovered around 100 Crores at the box office, while it was made on a budget of 150 Cores.

Ajit Andhare, COO of the film’s distributor Viacom 18 Studios, rubbished these claims and told Pinkvilla that Akshay Kumar did not charge a single rupee for his role in the film, which cut down their cost by a margin. He took this step because he believed in the message that the film wanted to put out, and supported the makers on taking such a brave step to put out this film. A source close to the news portal Hindustan Times also claimed that the film was made on a much smaller budget than what the rumours claimed, around 50 Crores. Ajit also mentions that it would have been impossible to take up a risky film like OMG 2 without Akshay’s involvement. This surely was a brave step by this Khiladi of Bollywood.

It surely may be a sensitive topic, but it is also a topic that should be discussed and raised on a larger platform for the good of kids. The actors have done a stellar job putting out the message of the need for Sex Education in India, and you should not give it a miss.
