Farhan Akhtar has been in the news lately, ever since he announced his next film as a director, Don 3. The film is said to star Ranveer Singh, as the new-age Don, and has addressed some rumours floating around regards to the casting and his decision to pick Ranveer for this role and replace SRK. But looks like the director, also has a number of films lined up where he will be not behind the camera, but in front of it! The actor will be seen in the remake of Begin Again, directed by Nitya Mehra.
According to an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, Farhan will star in Nitya’s musical comedy, which is said to be a remake of Begin Again. The film will go on floors by the end of this year with a start-to-finish schedule. The film takes us through the journey of a musician, who goes on to produce an album that breaks all the records, but this film will be set in the Indian music industry backdrop. The team is now on the hunt for a female lead opposite Farhan. The actor has a remake of ‘Champions’ also in the pipeline, with Aamir Khan. After wrapping up all these projects, he will put on his director’s hat, and start work on Don 3.

Don 3 is expected to go on floors by the end of 2024 and will eye a 2025 release date. By 2024, Ranveer is also expected to wrap work on his rumoured Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Baiju Bawra.
