Kareena Kapoor Khan is known for her iconic roles in Bollywood, from Poo to Geet, the list can go on! Kareena seems to have dominated the big screen long enough and is now planning to move to OTT. Or that is what it seems like… Looks like it is time to add one more film title word to that long list, this time on Netflix. Kareena dropped a video in collaboration with Netflix on her Instagram where she hints at making her OTT debut in ‘Jaane Jaan’. Check out the video below.
In the video we see her reviewing multiple scripts with directors seated across her. They throw ideas at her that involve a spin on her iconic roles from the past—one talks about turning Poo into a spy, titled ‘ while another proposes a sci-fi film. Everyone seemed to be pitching their ideas to get her on board, as Kareena making her OTT debut is no small deal! In comes a voice that talks about what her debut should be like. It should have romance, set in a mysterious location, and in a completely new avatar that people have never seen before! Talking about this project, she is soon to be seen playing a gritty role in a crime thriller titled ‘Jaane Jaan’ directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
Speaking on her streaming debut, Kareena shares,
I am excited to be coming on Netflix with a very special project . After 23 years, this feels like a new launch and I have the jitters of a new-comer! Audiences will see me in a role I have never played before, with a story that is so unique and thrilling. Netflix has always showcased films from different parts of the world in the most authentic manner, backing artists who love what they do and giving them a platform to reach 190 countries! I am looking forward to seeing the viewers react to a role that I believe is one of my best!
