Kareena Kapoor made her OTT debut recently with a Netflix film titled ‘Jaane Jaan’. The film is an adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo’s best-selling 2005 novel The Devotion of Suspect X. Apart from Kareena Kapoor, it also stars Jaideep Ahlawat who plays the role of Kareena’s shy neighbour in the film and Vijay Varma, who essays the role of a cop. Kareena who is usually seen in her most glam avatars was seen with a bare face in the film. She said she did so as it would not be right to see Maya’s character with makeup and the actress looked very comfortable on screen as well donning a bare face for her role. She has also been praised for this step and as well as for her acting in the film.
Known for her glamorous roles the actress said,
I have never shied away from going bare skin on camera… eventually you have to do what the character demands that’s most important. It wouldn’t have been right to see Maya’s character donning make up… and like I said I have never shied away from it… I am very comfortable in my skin and have no qualms whatsoever in going bare skin if the character demands it.
