If you’re looking at a wholesome Bollywood entertainer with a super big dollop of comedy that’ll make you laugh till your stomach hurts… Dream Girl 2 is the movie for you! This Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday starrer has a phenomenal cast whose wonderful performance contribute the many highs of this movie. The hilarious dialogues, comic moments, and an attention grabbing presence of ‘Pooja’ truly help enjoy Dream Girl 2 from the word start. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Annu Kapoor and Manoj Joshi, own every frame they’re in with their peculiar characters which sets them apart from the other.

About The Film…
Karam (Ayushmann Khurrana), lives in Mathura with his father, Jagjit (Annu Kapoor), and is in love with Pari (Ananya Panday), who he wishes to marry. Pari’s father (Manoj Joshi) has some criteria he sets if Karan wishes to marry Pari. In the process of meeting the criteria, Karam has no option but to become Pooja and a series of hilarious events unfold.
High moments…
Ayushmann really does manage to have all eyes on him as graces the screen with the screen as Pooja, leaving quite an impressive impact. The high-end performances of each actor as their respective characters are worthy. Comedy definitely isn’t an easy genre to ace and often is subjective, but with the dialogues and the moments filling the theatre with laughter, denote the success factor being high.
What Could’ve Been Better…
The end flows into an emotional zone with a message not only for the members of the on-screen family but also for the members of society. While this may have been crucial to hit pause on the laughter roller coaster ride that I was on, the extreme Bollywood ending seemed a little rushed to wrap the film and could’ve been avoided.
All in all Dream Girl 2 screams entertainment, entertainment, entertainment!
