In the Bigg Boss 16 house tons of things have happened today. From Sumbul Toqueer being warned by her father over major issues to Sajid Khan close to again raising his blood pressure. On the other hand, Tina Datta is the hot topic of the house revolving and getting involving everything around Shalin Bhanot.
Love is the air for Tina and Shalin in the house with their respective ups and downs of course. On the other hand, Soundarya Sharma has been left alone. But, Shalin has extended a hand of friendship towards her which is making Tina jealous. One of the instances I saw today was when Soundarya and Shalin were working out together, Tina happened to walk away and when Shalin asked what happened, she just jokingly explained that she was done eating and that’s why she went in. They then had a conversation in which Tina clearly appears to be jealous and her possessive nature shines through. But, even Tina’s jealousy is justified as Shalin and her have shared history in the start of the season.
The contestants in the house have made Tina a hot topic over her behaviour. Shalin and Tina sit down to talk about Sumbul again, and she is still trying to explain to him that Sumbul mentioned her boyfriend outside the house, and then she denied it. Shiv Thakare and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, on the other hand, sit down to discuss how the couple wouldn’t last a day outside the house. Even Soundarya believes Tina has simply kept Shalin around for her content. I truly believe Tina is getting jealous and is unable to hide it under any circumstance. It clearly shows on her face that she doesn’t like Shalin being around anyone else and wants attention to herself.
The captaincy task was a blast to watch, when I say ’twas a ‘blast’ I mean it in the literal sense. This wasn’t some normal captaincy task. The opportunity was given to the ex-captains of the house, Shiv Thakare, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, and Abdu Rozik. The non-favourites, Archana Gautam, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankit Gupta, Tina, Shalin, and Soundarya are giving them a hard time redeeming their seat of captaincy. When all this is happening, I can see Sajid becoming the highlight of the show, unlike before when he was invisible and just Abdu’s guardian. He now openly speaks up and expresses his anger.
While the task is going on, the non-favourites give some bizarre tasks to complete like, doing 100 push-ups, eating a bowl of salt, gulping three water bottles, and eating two spoons of chilli powder or raw eggs are among the challenges. This was all fun and games until Abdu is asked to drink 1 lire of water in 3 minutes. Sajid being the Sanchalak plus Abdu’s guardian denies it considering Abdu’s health. But, Priyanka loses her cool thinking that Sajid is favouring his favourites. This gets nasty when Sajid loses his temper and starts shouting that ‘Sanchalak cheater hai’. He expected people to listen to him because of his position in the house. Is Priyanka turning into Archana Gautam part 2 or is it Sajid? I feel both of them have fought with her so much that now they have incorporated her little personality into themselves.
The strongest part of the show was when Sumbul’s father called her up and insisted on speaking to her. Bigg Boss considered the matter because his health was not good, and he allowed Sumbul to speak to her. Her father clearly stated that she has to stay away from Shalin and Tina because they are a harm to her. Now, if dad has said it the change has to be done and Sumbul requests Sajid to change her beds and along with that also support her for the captaincy further. But, as it was the battle of the ex-captains, after a lot of discussions, Shiv is re-elected as the captain.
