In the whole episode, a few things happened like character assassination, getting personal, feminism pe charcha and the using abusive language. The Bigg Boss 16 house was turned upside down by Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot and for now, I think this chapter is over for good. One thing I loved is that even after yesterday’s fight Soundarya Sharma and Archana Gautam took each other’s names a task. The juicy twists that Bigg Boss injects into tasks are what keep me hooked on the show. Bigg Boss introduces a new task in which the housemates must decide who is more capable than Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. Priyanka takes her own name, claiming that she has received wake-up calls and does not deserve to be captain after 15 weeks. After Nimrit is offended, this turns into a verbal brawl. Shiv Thakare is the second name she suggests. Archana takes her name and then pitches for Soundarya’s. Shalin implements his and Nimrit’s names as captains.
Tina also puts her name first, followed by Shiv and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. As Archana interludes in between because she took two names, again an argument begins. Shiv chooses MC Stan because of his raw personality, and Priyanka because she is strong. Nimrit takes Shiv’s name, and Sumbul Toqueer takes hers followed by Nimrit’s name. This sparks a fight between Sumbul Toqueer and Priyanka because Priyanka believes that everyone except for Nimrit’s name has been asked to call out. MC Stan endorses the name of his best friend Shiv. Soundarya sets up herself and, surprisingly, uses Archana’s name even after all the fights that happened between the two of them.
Shalin is called out by Priyanka for his hypocrisy because he votes for Nimrit despite saying the other day that he is undeserving. Shalin is labelled as a “Dogla insaan” by Tina. When Shalin claims that Tina switches to one guy after another, the conversation devolves into an ugly argument. She even threatens to slap him by saying, “I wanna f**ing slap you”. Tina believes that her character assassination happened, and in anger, she gets personal and accuses Shalin of not maintaining the dignity of his own wife. Shalin reveals that Tina filled his mind with ideas about Sumbul when there was nothing between the two, after which Tina gets very angry that he brought up her and Shiv’s friendship. She asks Bigg Boss to remove her from the house this week and doesn’t want to stay at the cost of her self-respect.
The two names that are almost always brought up when Shalin and Tina’s fight are Sumbul and Soundarya. Shalin visits Sumbul to try to explain why he didn’t put the headline he wanted for the newspaper assignment—does Sumbul love him—in the paper. Sumbul makes it abundantly clear that she is no longer bothered. Priyanka, on the other hand, is clearly in favour of Tina leaving her Sakhi alone. Tina also mentions that he keeps talking about women’s dignity, and he has always said something about all of the female contestants. Tina warns Shalin not to provoke her or she will open her mouth about what he said about Soundarya. Priyanka is in the middle of the fight, attempting to break it up. Tina and Shalin accuse each other of judging the other female contestants.
I have no idea what Soundarya is attempting to accomplish or which side she is on when she goes and tells Shalin that Tina has disrespected every female in the house. Soundarya then informs Tina and Priyanka that Tina or Sreejita De had belittled her and that’s what Shalin told her. Tina, however, makes it clear that she simply participated in the conversation and made no comments. Shalin and Tina realise that their decision to remain together was the biggest letdown and I couldn’t agree more.
While Tina and Shalin are having so much involvement with each other in the show, looks like Archana Gautam is left alone and has an emotional breakdown where she thinks she will never get love and questions her self-worth. But, I know for sure that she is stronger than that because don’t we all go through that sometimes. Stay tuned for more updates and gossip.
