This Bigg Boss 16 episode was filled with tons of truth bombs dropped by Salman Khan and some shocking revelations. Yet again, more than half of the episode was based on Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot ‘s drama. But after all the grilling sessions, Abdu Rozik and Sajid Khan join Bhaijaan and make sure to remind us how much they’re being missed in the house.
The entire theme of “Shanivaar Ka Vaar” was directly exposing Tina and Shalin! The contestants reveal who is manipulating the show’s narrative and spreading unfounded rumours. The majority of the contestants endorse Shalin and Tina’s names. Tina received votes from Archana Gautam, Soundarya Sharma, and Shalin, while Shalin received votes from Tina, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shiv Thakare, and MC Stan. Shiv voted for Shalin and revealed that Shalin was spreading rumours about him knowing about some scandalous actions by Soundarya. Sumbul Toqueer makes a pitch in Tina’s name, claiming that she brainwashed everyone into thinking Sumbul loves Shalin. I feel from here on the matter gets escalated when Bhai walks in to drop the truth bombs.
But before the slamming begins, Salman makes a very sweet gesture for Archana by giving her a rose because she has been feeling down for a few days and assures her that he wishes her the best and that she will find an MP husband very soon. Following this sweet gesture, he prepares to school the house’s two most talked-about contestants, Tina and Shalin. He challenges them both to say whatever they’ve been whispering behind each other’s backs in front of all the contestants. Salman claims that some things are so bad that the channel had to reconsider broadcasting them, but when it happened repeatedly, the channel had no choice. Shalin takes the floor first, mentioning that Tina has a problem whenever he sits with Soundarya. Priyanka claims that Shalin made a remark about how quickly Tina switches guys, which he justifies by saying she was pointing out his character and shipping her with Shiv. Shalin defends himself by claiming that he only wanted to give Tina a taste of her own medicine because she continued to discuss him with other female contestants such as Sumbul and Soundarya.
Tina’s scandalous gossip session with Priyanka has been revealed. Salman reveals to Priyanka that Tina told her that Shalin wanted to meet outside the house before the season started. Shalin, on the other hand, clarifies that the person Tina considers a “close friend” is his PR manager, whom he wanted to handle his PR while he is inside the show. According to Shalin, the PR manager informed him that she has already signed with Tina on the condition that she does not handle anyone else.
Another exposure occurs as the Dubai matter is dragged out, and Gautam Vig‘s name is brought up on the show once more. Shalin reveals that it was Gautam who brought it up and that too in the bathroom when things were less strict. Tina tries to defend herself, while Salman asks her how she would feel if she were in Soundarya’s shoes. Soundarya becomes emotional and expresses her displeasure with Tina and Shalin’s sick taunts because she did not want to bring up the subject. But Bhai gives her courage by telling her to silence the contestants who are criticising her character.
Salman asks Priyanka why Tina revealed everything after 15 weeks of the show and not before. Tina expresses her frustration with all of the allegations levelled against her and breaks down in tears, pleading for her release from the Bigg Boss 16 house. Following Salman Bhai’s visit, Priyanka tells Shalin to stop playing the blame game and promises him that Tina will no longer speak to him. Meanwhile, Tina enters the room and begs to be let out of the house. Shiv also reveals that Shalin’s manager called him but, Shalin denies it. Tina, on the other hand, is upset that Salman asked Priyanka to reconsider her friendship with Tina. Shalin enters the room where Tina is crying, and Priyanka requests that he leave.
The ex-contestant who was respected the most in the house, Sajid Khan and the beloved of them all Abdu Rozik, are seen in the episode coming back on the “vaar” stage. Sajid Khan is tasked with casting the contestants in the roles of hero, side hero, heroine, villain, and comedian while in his element as a filmmaker. Sajid performs the casting with his distinct label of hilarious humour. After which, coming to the hot topic of Tina and Shalin even Sajid confirms that Shalin had called him before they entered the house. This “vaar” is followed by the entertaining “Long Son Short Son Show,” in which megastar guest Salman Khan is tasked with giving each contestant the best title for his movie. Shive receives the title “Partner,” while Shalin Bhanot receives the title “Tubelight.”A sweet video is played that showcases Abdu and Sajid’s friendship. Salman wishes them the best and calls them “the best jodi”.
Hush! Tina and Shalin’s issues are over the top and I hope after this they’ll come to their senses and not only not talk to each other but also understand that they shouldn’t talk about each other as well. Well, the “Weekend Ka Vaar” was true to its sense. But, tomorrow is going to be a surprise for the contestants as Ekta Kapoor will enter the house to choose her next lead actress.
