The Bigg Boss 16 house seems to be brightened up than usual. The faces of the contestants lit up with happiness after meeting with their family members. Not everyone’s family came in but, Shiv Thakare‘s Aai – Asha ji, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary‘s brother – Yogesh and Sajid Khan ‘s Sister who we all know as one of the booming directors of the industry, Farah Khan entered the house. If you missed the episode, read Bigg Boss 16 Day 100 Live Written Updates here. The nomination special is an unstoppable force in the house and it continues with a twist.
As everyone gathers in the living room under Bigg Boss’ command, they believe it is a normal day for the nomination task, but they have no idea that surprises await them. He informs them that he is about to give them freeze and release instructions, which they must follow. Farah, Sajid’s sister, is the first person to enter the house. She tears up after hugging her brother. She conveys that his mother is extremely proud of him. Sajid, who is also frozen, bursts into tears. After meeting the other contestants in the house, Farah goes to thank Shiv for watching over Sajid. She visits Sumbul Toqueer and cheers her up expressing that Sajid is watching out for her. She gives Abdu Rozik a hug and exudes joy at finally meeting him. He embraces her with warmth as well.
Not to forget the sweetest part of the episode, where Farah says that she left one brother in the house and got three in return referring to Shiv, Abdu ad MC Stan. Farah brings all the required positive energy into the house with her comic element and frank self. Farah refers to Priyanka as “Ghar ki Deepika Padukone”, and she even conveys Ankit Gupta‘s message that he misses Priyanka. She even informs Tina Datta that her mother’s rise to fame is a result of their conflict with Shalin Bhanot‘s mother. Farah also admits that Shalin and Tina’s romance is developing into a total bore.
When Farah sits down to speak with Tina, she tells her not to attack Shalin. She criticises Tina for being overly sensitive and starting the altercation always. Tina claims that although she has feelings for Shalin, the squabbling is too much. They both get the idea from Farah that they’ve tried being apart, but now that the season is almost over, they can try being together. I hope after talking to Farah both of them get some sense knocked into them about their relationship.
There’s nothing better and more comforting than a mother’s hug. Shiv’s beloved Aai enters the house and she doesn’t fail to shower love on every single one of the contestants. She gives her son the first hug while encouraging him not to cry and complimenting his play. His mother lavishes Abdu with kisses and affection. She also thinks Sajid did a good job of maintaining the mandali’s unity. She compliments Soundarya Sharma and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia on their excellent play in the house. Shiv’s Aai affectionately refers to Archana Gautam as a sparrow while also pleading with her not to criticise anyone. This love and warmth were much needed by everyone in the house.
The next contestant to come into the house is Priyanka’s brother, Yogesh. While everyone is frozen she makes her brother meet her new friend, Sreejita De and her enemy Archana and Nimrit.
While the biggest twist during the nomination special was awaited, Bigg Boss announces that instead of Shiv, Sajid and Priyanka their families would come in for nominating the other contestants. The best part for the contestants was to know that this is the time to retrieve the prize money as they have been divided into three categories.
If the housemates nominate the hyperactive contestants which include Priyanka, Shiv, Archana & Sajid they will only be able to get back 5 lakhs. If they nominate the contestants from the active category i.e. Tina, Soundarya, Shalin & Abdu they would retrieve 10 lakhs from the prize money and the last category which bears the most amount of money is Nimrit, Sumbul, MC Stan & Sreejita.
Farah, Archana, Shalin, Soundarya, Tina, and Priyanka’s brother nominate for the lost category. Shiv’s Aai, MC Stan, Sreejita, Sumbul, and Nimrit go on to nominate the active group. Abdu is the only one who chooses the hyperactive group. Nimrit, Sreejita, MC Stan and Sumbul are nominated for the week from the lost category. The 20 lakhs prize money is retrieved. But, when Bigg Boss reveals that Abdu was the only one which voted for the hyperactive category Archana goes up against it.
But, we only get to know tomorrow the discussions about this. This week is going to be interesting as the family members would keep coming in and I am curious to know what more insights the contestants would get from them. Stay tuned for more updates and gossip.
